The Hong Kong Financial Authority (HKMA) has issued a warning a couple of fraudulent web site and web banking login display impersonating China Minsheng Banking Corp., Ltd.





Fraudulent Web site Alert

The Hong Kong Financial Authority (HKMA) has issued a warning regarding a fraudulent web site and web banking login display that impersonates China Minsheng Banking Corp., Ltd. In response to the HKMA, these misleading platforms have been reported and are at the moment beneath investigation.

Public Advisory

In its advisory, the HKMA emphasised that banks is not going to ship SMS or emails containing hyperlinks directing customers to their web sites for transactional functions. Each delicate private data and login credentials, reminiscent of passwords or One-Time Passwords (OTPs), shouldn’t be shared through cellphone, e mail, or SMS, together with these with embedded hyperlinks.

Motion for Affected People

People who’ve inadvertently offered private data or performed transactions via the fraudulent platforms are urged to contact the financial institution instantly utilizing the official contact particulars and report the incident to the Hong Kong Police Drive. The Crime Wing Info Centre will be reached at 2860 5012 for such reviews.
