Auditor Prager Metis consented to pay $1.95 million to settle two expenses introduced by the Securities and Trade Fee, alleging deceptive reviews created for Sam Bankman-Fried’s fallen crypto large between February 2021 and April 2022.

The SEC mentioned Prager fell beneath usually accepted auditing requirements, failing to symbolize the “elevated threat” attributable to ties between FTX and its sister hedge fund, Alameda Analysis.
